While T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint are all busy trying to convince customers that they have the best rate plans, Verizon is taking a slightly different approach. The company confirmed Wednesday that it is raising fees for upgrades and activations beginning next week.
Activation fees will now be $40, up from $35, starting on Feb. 5, Phone Scoop first reported on Wednesday; upgrade fees will increase to $40 from $30. from $30 to $40. Verizon last increased its upgrade fees in 2012, and the company says it hasn't raised its activation fees in more than ten years.
Verizon is the largest carrier in the United States with more than 125 million subscribers. Read more...
