KAYAK added information for travel to Cuba on its website Thursday, becoming the first major online booking site to do so.
More than 300 hotels on the island nation are now searchable via the website, in addition to flight information. However, the available flights all originate outside the U.S., and KAYAK is not offering the option to book flights or hotels through its site
“We have seen significant interest in travel to Cuba,” KAYAK CEO Steve Hafner said about adding the information. “Our goal is to provide comprehensive information for travelers –- whether they are planning a trip to Cuba or anywhere else in the world.”
The tourism ban to Cuba has not yet been lifted for Americans. However, those with official reasons for visiting are no longer required to apply for a government license. Read more...
