LONDON — Politicians gathered to mark 50 years since Winston Churchill's funeral Friday, as a series of services took place in central London and the boat that carried the wartime prime minister's coffin up the Thames in 1965 made the journey again.
Churchill's will has recently surfaced, meanwhile, offering an insight into how the wartime prime minister divided up his estate after his death.
His own paintings, medallions, speeches and horses were all bequeathed to named individuals, while his Chartwell House estate went to the National Trust. Read more...
