Two young Italian aid workers who went missing in the Syrian city of Aleppo this summer have appeared in a new video, urging their government to secure their release.
The footage, seen below, features the two young women identified as Greta Ramelli and Vanessa Marzullo holding a sign with the date Dec. 17, 2014. They are dressed in all black with their hair covered by hijabs.
It's unclear who is holding the girls, but the title of the footage makes reference to the al-Nusra Front, a militant Islamist opposition group in Syria. Italian news agency ANSA also quoted an al-Nusra Front spokesperson who said his group was holding the girls. Read more...
