Finally, after months of noise and nonsense, the saga of disgraced Donald Sterling and his Los Angeles Clippers appears to have reached its end.
Judge Michael Levanas ruled Monday against Sterling's bid to block the sale of the Clippers by his estranged wife Shelly, clearing the way for the $2 billion sale of the team to ex-Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer. That deal, a record for a pro sports team, was originally agreed to in May after the 80-year-old billionaire Sterling was banned by the NBA for making offensive remarks that were caught on tape.
