Palantir Technologies, the big-data company whose software reportedly helped find Osama bin Laden, has acquired a 2-year-old social media marketing startup.
Palantir acquired Poptip, a company that helps major brands analyze data from Twitter, and conduct polls on social media.
Terms of the deal were not disclosedPalantir, which launched in 2004, has raised more than $900 million in funding, and is valued at $9 billion, according to The Wall Street Journal .
