Every red-blooded American television viewer with a love of OMG TV took a seat Thursday night ready to worship at the altar of Shonda Rhimes — first Grey's Anatomy, then Scandal, then the new kid on the block, How to Get Away With Murder.
Murder, actually, is of the Shondaland world but was created by Peter Nowalk, a former writer on Rhimes' other shows.

In the show, Nowalk introduces the audience to Annalise Keating (Viola freaking Davis), a leather-shirt wearing law professor with laser beams for eyes and a voice so steady and commanding that her words might as well be Lego bricks.
