Viral fame can come to anyone, not just cute cats or meme-worthy ex-boyfriends. Some people prefer to disappear out of the limelight just as quickly as they came, while others use their fame to further a cause.
After reporter Charlo Greene quit her job at KTVA in Anchorage, Alaska by dropping an f-bomb on the air, she went on a crusade to legalize marijuana in her state. Footage of her last report went viral, and now, so has her cause.
Greene's next move was launching an Indiegogo campaign, the Alaska Cannabis Club Freedom and Fairness Fight. Greene is the president and CEO of the organization, which claims to be "Alaska's only legal medical marijuana resource." The campaign promotes Alaska state Ballot Measure 2, which would make it legal for citizens to possess an ounce of marijuana and grow up to six plants, as well as sell and own marijuana paraphernalia.
