Hundreds of students and teachers at Denver-area public schools are skipping classes to protest a school board proposal that could change the way AP U.S. History is taught in the district as well as board-mandated tweaks to teachers' pay
Two Denver high schools were shut down on Monday after a vast majority of teachers called in sick or took personal days while students picketed in the streets, chanting and waving signs that accused the district of trying to censor American history.
