More than any other politician in recent memory, Narendra Modi, India's newly elected prime minister, has generated hope for the economic prospects of his nation.
That hope was present on Sunday during Modi's speech at Madison Square Garden, part of his visit to the United States, in which two of the world's largest democracies aim to build a better relationship. India's prime minister also hopes to reinvigorate U.S. interest in the country's economy.
