Artist Joanne DeLomba paints vintage ceramic plates with science fiction and pop culture references. Her creations, which she sells on her Etsy shop With Love Joanne, feature modern characters and icons like Darth Vader, aliens and selfies.
"As a child I enjoyed the pop culture of my generation and as an adult, I have become an avid collector of those magical days-gone-by," DeLomba told Mashable in an email
DeLomba runs her own ceramics studio, and used her art and photography background to teach herself decalomania, a technique of overlaying and applying decoration to pottery.
