There's still time to see peak fall foliage around the United States, and now there's a map that will help you plan when you should take a drive to see some of the best colors nature has to offer.
A team at SmokyMountains.com created the map, which shows that peak fall has not yet hit in many parts of the U.S.
In order to create the map, the website used an algorithm to forecast peak foliage by county. Data includes the National Weather Service's historical temperatures, historical precipitation, forecast temperatures, forecast precipitation, and historical leaf peak and peak observation trends.
