Tensions flared in Hong Kong on Friday as opposition groups clashed with pro-democracy activists who have been occupying the city's streets for over a week. The 'anti-occupy' protesters, which appeared to be comprised of about 100 people according to the BBC, ripped down tents and scuffled with the Occupy Central group in the region's Mong Kok district.
The anti-occupy group has adopted the blue ribbon as its symbol, which is the color of the local police uniform and contrasts with the yellow ribbons preferred by Occupy Central.
