Snapchat will soon host its first ads, according to CEO Evan Spiegel, who spoke on Wednesday night at a Vanity Fair event in San Francisco.
But don't expect hyper-personalized ads like you see on Facebook or Google. Spiegel, according to various reports, said that Snapchat is starting off simple.
"They aren’t fancy. They are not targeted,” he said.
The introduction of ads to Snapchat has been a long time coming.
