Max Weinberg reunited with Conan O'Brien for one night

Max Weinberg is back! Kinda!

The drummer and Conan O’Brien reunited Tuesday for a one-time-only gig on the comedian's late-night show. Weinberg was stepping in for current Conan drummer James Wormworth, who, according to the show’s bit, had fallen down an abandoned mine.

Before his departure in 2010, Weinberg had been O’Brien’s drummer and bandleader since Conan took over NBC's Late Night in 1993. We love a good reunion — and a good drum solo.
