BLACK ROCK CITY, NEVADA — The Burning Man festival, which attracts more than 50,000 people each year to the Nevada desert, saw its first fatality in seven years early Thursday morning when a woman was struck and killed by an art car
The woman's name wasn't immediately released, pending notification of her next of kin. "Black Rock rangers and emergency services department staff are providing support to those affected," said Marian Goodell, CEO of Burning Man LLC. "Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends and campmates."
