For the past month, one of Russia's top national broadcasters has aired a nightly comedy news program named after the country's obsession with U.S. President Barack Obama's incoming communications director, Jen Psaki.
Most of the laughs on Psaki at Night, which premiered in late January on NTV, come from the host's skewering of western diplomats. (A recent segment criticized Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop's emoji interview, for instance.) Others come from daily commentary on Russia's politics, much like The Daily Show does in the U.S.
