In 1991, a really weird game came to the Sega Genesis. The story of two funky aliens trapped on a monstrous version of Earth haunted by evil dentists, herds of nerds and boogie-men was captivating to fans, and quickly became a cult classic
Now one of its original creators wants to recapture the game's magic, eschewing the less-well-received sequels to reboot the original ToeJam and Earl. Via Kickstarter, series creator Greg Johnson showed off some of the ideas and progress his small team had made on the new version, hoping fans would invest in bringing it back to life as ToeJam and Earl: Back in the Groove.
