Oliver Sacks, one of our most brilliant clinical minds, revealed on Thursday that the cancer that he suffers from has spread to his liver and metastasized, and that he is now facing death
In a moving, clear-headed and surprisingly uplifting New York Times Op-Ed, he wrote about how he wants to "live out the months that remain to me."
It was less about dying and more about the gift of life.
It’s a good thought — living while you can — and made me think that we should celebrate Sacks and his brilliant life of accomplishment now, with Sacks still among us.
