Tulsa reserve deputy Robert Bates defended his training record Friday on the Today show, two weeks after he said he accidentally mistook his gun for a taser, and fatally shot Eric Harris, during an undercover operation.
“I yelled, 'taser taser,' as required in training," Bates, 73, said. “The laser light is the same on each weapon.” He has been charged with second-degree manslaughter, but is out on bail
