SAN FRANCISCO — It's the stuff of nightmares — because it could so easily happen to anyone
Ben Schwartz, a 31-year-old San Francisco man, was walking with his girlfriend Miyoko in the wee hours of Saturday morning just five blocks from city hall when a man catcalled her for the third time that night, according to the San Francisco Chronicle . Schwartz, a friend told the paper, simply asked the catcaller: "Can you please stop?"
The man then stabbed Schwartz nine times in the back, face, neck and arms. One of Schwartz's lungs was punctured. The assailant's blade barely missed his spinal cord.
