Dwayne Johnson has made his superhero choice — and it's a bad one.
The artist formerly known as The Rock will play Black Adam in New Line Cinema and Warner Bros.' adaptation of the DC comic Shazam, he confirmed Wednesday on Twitter, choosing the anti-hero (who's not quite a villain, but close) over the title character.

Johnson has been teasing this role for eons, and was reportedly caught between the hero — a 1940s comic character who gains his god-like powers by shouting the name "Shazam!" — and the anti-hero Black Adam, who once possessed those powers but was banished for using them for evil (and is now trying to restore his reputation).
