Are you ready to rock? Nickelodeon certainly is.
The network has teamed up with Paramount Television to bring the studio's 2003 film School of Rock to TV.
Nick has ordered 13 episodes of the live-action musical-comedy, which originally stared Jack Black as Dewey Finn, a down-on-his-luck rocker who pretends to be a professional substitute teacher at a fancy prep school. He's only in it for the money — until he realizes he can teach the class the art of rocking out.
Casting for the series will be announced shortly, the network said in a release. Production is set to begin in fall and the show will premiere in spring 2015. Read more...
