American Idol alum Michael Johns has died, the reality-television show confirmed. He was 35

Johns died from a blood clot in his ankle on Friday, according to The Hollywood Reporter . The Australian-born singer competed on Season 7 of Idol in 2008. He came in eighth place, and went on to release an album in 2009 titled Hold Back My Heart. Johns also released a three-song EP, called Love & Sex, in 2012.
