You can play as anyone you want in the next Super Smash Brothers game. That’s because Nintendo is making Miis, its customizable human avatars, playable characters in the upcoming entry to its fighting game series.

The company made the announcement at E3 on Tuesday. To demonstrate the technology, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata battled Nintendo of America CEO Reggie Fils-Amie in a Smash Bros. battle.
