Nvidia just unveiled a set-top box that runs Android TV. CEO and cofounder Jen-Hsun Huang announced the $199 device, called the Shield, at an event in San Francisco Tuesday.
The device, powered by the company's Tegra X1 chip, is the first Android-powered set-top box that is 4k compatible.
The Nvidia Shield, runs Android TV and will be 4k compatible, Huang said. It comes with a rechargeable remote that allows users to plug in headphones for private listening, similar to the Roku 3's remote and the accompanying controller boasts 40-hours of battery life. Read more...
