An AirAsia flight from Surabaya to Singapore has gone missing. Rescue operations are in progress
Flight QZ8501 lost contact with air traffic control at 7:24 a.m. local time, according to a statement from AirAsia posted on Facebook
AirAsia Indonesia regrets to confirm that QZ8501 from Surabaya to Singapore has lost contact at 07:24hrs this morning

This is the second time a plane from an Asian airline has lost contact this year. Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 disappeared while flying from Malaysia to Beijing. The search for that plane continues. Read more...
