One less hurdle: Women's shelter allows victims to escape with their pets

Jasmin came into the shelter with a broken ankle, significant financial abuse and, most importantly, her two Shitzus, Tony and Teresa. She and the dogs were forced out of the house by her girlfriend of 19 years.

While staying at her mother's was an option, it wasn't safe. Her girlfriend could find her there. But where could she go that would also take her animals?
