Father Time, as they say, is undefeated
Two-time NBA MVP, eight-time all-star and all-around class act Steve Nash's sterling career is fading toward a sad end. A succession of injuries have robbed him of his ability to play basketball, forcing the 40-year-old point guard to sit out the final year of a contract that brought him to the Los Angeles Lakers in 2012.
Now, after a mini controversy erupted this week, Nash has addressed supporters and critics alike in an open letter to Lakers fans that he posted to his Facebook page
Nash appeared in just 50 games for the Lakers from 2012 to 2013, his first season with the team, due to injuries. Last season, he played in just 15 games. Nash aggravated a back injury while lifting luggage during this pre-season, and will be out for the entire year.
