While most girls are used to seeing zits and body art in real life, it's not something they often see on their Barbie dolls — until now.
Nickolay Lamm, designer of the so-called "realistic" fashion doll named Lammily, has officially produced his new doll thanks to a crowdfunding campaign launched last March. Not only does Lammily emulate an average 19-year-old American woman, she also comes with accessories that give her acne, cellulite, freckles, stretch marks, broken bones and much more.
Lamm hopes that the sticker accessories will show that playtime doesn't need to give children an unrealistic expectation about life or about their body image. "Real life isn't perfect, but it's all we have, and it's fun and it's awesome," Lamm told Mashable. Read more...
