An Android version of the popular social gaming app QuizUp launched Thursday, letting players compete against friends and other users in head-to-head trivia match-ups that test their knowledge of specific topics.
"QuizUp is a hybrid between a game and a social network, that's why having a broad audience is important to us," said Thor Fridriksson, founder and CEO of Plain Vanilla Games, the Icelandic company behind QuizUp, in an interview with Mashable. "Getting it on Android now is a great relief for us because we've had very angry Android users for some time asking us about this."
