A boat carrying migrants has run aground off the Greek island of Rhodes and at least three people have drowned, Reuters reports.
A coast guard official said that a search-and-rescue operation has recovered three bodies, that of a man, a woman and a child.
Around 80 people have been rescued with 23 taken to hospital, according to another Greek coast guard official quoted by Reuters.
Video footage posted by local news website Rodiaka shows a large, double-masted boat packed full of people just meters away from the shores of Rhodes. The vessel is rocking wildly while passengers jump into the sea and swim towards land. Read more...
