U2 frontman Bono was flying from Dublin to Germany when a door came off his plane, and his luggage fell out. None of the other members of the band were on the plane.
The rear door of the Learjet 60 D-CGEO fell off at 8,000 feet, according to the German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation.
Although it sounds scary for a door to fall off mid-air, Bono and his fellow passengers were not in danger.
"What happened here is very unusual, but they were never really at risk,” aviation expert John Nance told ABC News. “The passengers may have been scared when they heard a noise, but they never lost pressurization.” Read more...
