Turkish police detained journalist Ivan Watson while he was reporting live on-air Saturday.
In the video, above, Watson is describing the scene in central Istanbul, when plainclothes police officers begin surrounding him (around the 3:00 mark). The CNN correspondent, who is based in Istanbul, was reporting from Taksim Square, where he says Turkish riot police were on-hand to prevent demonstrations on the one-year anniversary of last summer's Gezi Park protests.

A chief minister in northern India will order an investigation into the gang rape and murder of two teenage cousins, his office announced Saturday, just a day after he dismissed concerns about the case.
Meanwhile, police said they had detained all five suspects in the case, the BBC reported. Three men suspected of attacking the girls have been arrested, along with two police officers accused of dereliction of duty and criminal conspiracy. Two of the suspects had still been on the loose on Friday.
The two victims, age 14 and 15, were found hanging from a mango tree in the village of Katra in Uttar Pradesh state on Wednesday. An autopsy revealed they had been raped, then strangled. Villagers sat for hours in silent protest under their bodies — one girl was dressed in a flowing green tunic, the other in red — until local authorities made arrests in the case. Read more...

Apple's WWDC hits the stage this Monday and we already know Apple is planning to unveil iOS 8 and the latest OS X 10.10 but many are also contemplating if there will be an iPhone 6 announcement taking place. While the leaks have been non stop there hasn't been anything pointing to a device release at the Apple conference until now. A video has been captured which appears to show the stage at the Moscone Center in San Francisco and some slides being run through the screen behind it. Those slides show the front of an iPhone 6, then the back and finally the sides. It appears a silver-white device with rounded edges just like on the recent iPads. Could this be the real deal? Could Apple be planning the first hardware unveil at the WWDC conference since the iPhone 4? The device in the leaked slides looks in line with recent leaks of dummies. But should the Apple iPhone 6 arrive at the WWDC it will contradict rumors of a September release. Sadly we can't tell yet but there's not much time until the WWDC kicks off in Monday and we will all find out then. Apple is expected to unleash an iPhone this year with a bigger screen. Currently good money is on a 4.7" panel but there's also rumors speculating another bigger model of 5.5" with a later release in the fall. Source (in...

Grab a TV dinner and the remote, it's time to revisit your childhood.
None of these songs were lucky enough to receive any radio play, but they're guaranteed to be stuck in your head for the rest of the week.

Google Glass has been blasted as nerdy, dorky and just plain ugly
For Todd Blatt, none of those descriptors seemed to hit hard enough. Last year, Blatt — an early Glass explorer who also designs and sells 3D-printed goods online — set out to make the expensive headgear more usable. But the also made it a hell of a lot dorkier.
The end result was Glasskap, a set of 3D-printed Google Glass accessories that run the gamut from practical to hilarious. His bright red lens cap protects the gear as well as the privacy of would-be subjects before Glass’s camera. Another plastic cap slides over the glass prism to save it from scratches when in transit, which many Glass users could find useful, especially given Glass’ hefty $1,500 price tag. Other accessories help users see the screen in low light or add a pencil-holding functionality. Read more...
