Samsung has been slowly but steadily ticking the boxes for Lollipop updates to the devices in its portfolio, and apparently the LTE version of the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is next in line. After last week's Android 5.0.2 OTA for the Wi-Fi only variant, the company has now started seeding the update to the 4G model. So far it's limited to a few countries in Europe, with Slovenia, Czech Republic, Croatia and Switzerland confirmed. Now that the build is already finished though, more widespread availability is to be expected soon. The firmware comes at a whopping 1.7GB, carries a T805XXU1BOCC internal designation and is dated March 17. For those of you not in the listed countries, but eager to get your hands on Lollipop, you can head over to the source link where the update is available for download and manual install. Gary Ross Dahl, the creator of the wildly popular 1970s fad the Pet Rock, has died at age 78 in southern Oregon.

Dahl's wife, Marguerite Dahl, confirmed Tuesday that her husband of 40 years died March 23 of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

The smooth stones came packed in a cardboard box containing a tongue-in-cheek instruction pamphlet for "care and feeding." Dahl estimated he had sold 1.5 million of them at roughly $4 each by the time the fad fizzled. The Pet Rock required no work and no time commitment.

Born Dec. 18, 1936, in Bottineau, North Dakota, Dahl was raised in Spokane, Washington. Read more...

Climate change is one of those large, sweeping stories in which history has not made a dent in more than 30 years. Alan Rusbridger, the editor in chief of the Guardian, decided to tackle it in a six-month, all-hands blitz

Rusbridger is stepping down in June after 20 years atop the Guardian’s masthead, a move he says brought up thoughts of his legacy

“I thought, ‘Well, I haven’t got long now, and therefore I want to do something about this whole subject,’” Rusbridger told Mashable. “I wondered, ‘What I could do that was most powerful and most focused within a six-month timeframe?’”

Rusbridger’s last few months editing the Guardian will conclude with the “Keep it in the ground” campaign against fossil fuels. Created in conjunction with environmental activist organization 350.org, the campaign calls for two of the world’s largest charitable organizations — the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the Wellcome Trust — to divest their investments in fossil fuel companies Read more...

You scope out your potential boss before the big day. You pay close attention to how the interviewer receives your answers — assessing whether or not you should change gears. Then you go home and reflect on the interview as you write a fabulous thank you note

And then, you're supposed to do absolutely nothing.

That's right — the next step is patiently awaiting the hiring manager's decision. And if you try to put your newly sharpened sleuthing skills to good use, well-meaning friends will advise you to "stop obsessing." But that's easier said than done Read more...

1. What was a weird/embarrassing beauty trend you loved when you were younger?

I loved the metallic lip around the Millennial era (2000-2001) when a lot of the girls were wearing the frosted lip glosses. Even though it was kind of shunned within the fashion industry, I loved it. But it's funny because everything comes back full circle and now it's trendy Read more...
