LONDON — Mohammed Emwazi, who was recently revealed as ISIS fighter "Jihadi John," denies being an extremist in a recording that has recently surfaced
The Kuwait-born Briton, who's thought to have appeared in several videos purportedly showing the killing of western hostages, also said "innocent" people died in the 7/7 bombings in London and the 9/11 attacks in New York.
The recording was made by advocacy group Cage in 2009 after Emwazi had been deported from Tanzania and questioned by MI5.
During the conversation with Cage, Emwazi said he was threatened by MI5 and felt that they were trying to put words in his mouth. Read more...
