The next chapter in the Star Wars saga is called The Force Awakens, Lucasfilm revealed Thursday morning.
The Disney subsidiary also confirmed that director J.J. Abrams had finished principal photography — that is, all the live shots of the actors and sets. CGI work and "pickups" — short inserted scenes — are still to come.
An earlier, erroneous report suggested the title would be "The Ancient Fear." A great deal of rumors have swirled around the content of the script, but all Lucasfilm has confirmed is that it will be set 30 years after Return of the Jedi and feature Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, C-3PO and R2-D2 alongside a cast of new characters.
