Instagram's app and website are down for most users.
The company said it is aware of the outage but has not revealed the source of the problem or how long a fix will take.
According to DownDetector.com, a site that tracks service outages and disruptions based on reports from Twitter and other sources, issues began on Thursday around 3 p.m. ET.
It's not clear what the source of the outage is but, in a tweet, the company said a fix was in the works.
Instagram is experiencing some technical issues. We're aware and working on a fix.
