The rumored update to Android Wear that was supposed to bring with it Wi-Fi support has now been made official by Google. It will be rolling out to all existing smartwatches running the wearable platform, starting with the new LG Watch Urbane. The new software should have reached all devices within the next few weeks. Wi-Fi support isn't everything that's new here. Apps now get the ability to be always-on and keep your watch's display on all the time. Previously such functionality was limited to the screen that shows you what time it is. From this point on, however, developers can take advantage of this feature, so their apps stay visible for as long as needed. Interestingly, the screen of the watch will only be full color when you're actively looking at it, in a bid to save power. Moving on, gesture support is now built into Android Wear. So you can flick your wrist to scroll through your notifications. Apps and contacts are just a touch away from the watch face - you only need to tap the screen and you'll be able to start apps and send messages at once. And if you want to send an emoji, you simply have to draw it on your smartwatch. Google will recognize it and send it along to your intended recipient. As for the Wi-Fi functionality, this means watches that have the necessary hardware will work with your smartphone even when the two aren't paired via Bluetooth. Your watch only needs to be connected to a Wi-Fi network with Internet access, and your handset needs to have an active data connection - and all your notifications will keep showing up on your...

DENVER — Marijuana may be legal in the state of Colorado; however, plumes of smoke aren't exactly clouding the streets. That's because smoking or ingesting any form of cannabis in a public place is illegal in the state.
You can't vape in the park; you can't smoke a joint outside of a bar where patrons are smoking cigarettes; you can't eat a pot cookie while walking down the street
It's no wonder people are coming up with creative solutions just outside the immediate eye of the law.
"Tourists are coming, spending their money, spending tax dollars and there's nowhere for them to smoke," Damian Riniker, manager of Grassroots Break Room, a private cannabis club in Denver, told Mashable. Read more...

Federal agents charged the men with criminal conspiracy after a 10-month investigation. Four of the men were arrested in Minnesota, while two of them were arrested in San Diego, California.
“As the complaint makes clear, this group is committed to joining [ISIS] by any means possible," United States Attorney Andrew Luger said at a press conference on Monday
The defendants are allegedly part of a larger group whose members have repeatedly tried to get to Syria to join ISIS. At least one of them has succeeded and has tried to help other Minnesotans join him there. Read more...

OnePlus had started the rollout of the much awaited Android 5.0 Lollipop based Cyanogen OS 12 system update for the One last week. Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus shared on Twitter that the OTA update was paused to add a new OK OnePlus' voice activation feature in the update. The new OK OnePlus is quite similar to the Ok Google voice search feature and it will even work when the phone is in sleep mode. OTA rollout was paused due to new "OK OnePlus" feature being added. Washington Post reporter Jason Rezaian, the paper's Tehran correspondent, will reportedly be charged with espionage by Iran, where he has been held since July 2014. In a searing statement, Rezaian's editor called the allegations "transparently baseless" as well as "absurd and despicable."
Marty Baron, executive editor of the Post, confirmed the charges in a statement in which he also called the trial "a tragic charade" and warned "the world will be watching."
According to Baron, who has seen a statement from Rezaian's lawyer, the charges Rezaian faces in Iran include “conducting propaganda against the establishment,’’ “collaborating with hostile governments,” and “collecting information about internal and foreign policy and providing them to individuals with malicious intent." Very nice 6-year-old misunderstands his sister, adorably pouts about it
This 6-year-old would like the world to know he is, in fact, not mean. Thank you.
This brother and sister just wanted to send a nice video message to their parents, but unfortunately their sibling, George, misunderstood his sister's annunciation of the the word "meaning" as saying he was "mean."
Sad little George. Poor listening always leads to hurt feelings.

Sony Xperia Z4 is not the 2015 flagship, stay tuned this May
Sony Xperia Z4 was announced in Japan today and it's an incremental upgrade with the Snapdragon 810 chip being the key change. As it turns out the lack of fanfare for the Xperia Z4 launch in Japan was intentional, as the phone will remain as an exclusive for its homeland. Instead Sony will be premiering a proper flagship smartphone later this year, supposedly this May. There are no details on the alleged flagship phone, but if previous rumors are to be trusted we'll be seeing a screen resolution bump. Sony recently promised to focus on the user experience instead of only hardware upgrades, so we should expect improved Android OS and proprietary apps. So, as the rumor has it, Sony Xperia Z4 is not the flagship you've been waiting for. Be patient and stay tuned for the end of May, when Sony will reportedly introduce its international and more advanced flagship smartphone. Source |...
Boss-man Conan O'Brien steps in after writer complains about late-night comedy
Comedian Andrés du Bouchet, a staff writer for Conan, tweeted several thoughts about the state of late night comedy on April 17.
The rant, which seemed largely directed at the comedic style of Jimmy Fallon and The Tonight Show, was ultimately deleted by du Bouchet, although not before several news outlets had written about it. Conan O'Brien responded on Twitter, calling du Bouchet's tweets "stupid."

Prom King Comedy. That’s what I call all this shit. You’ve let the popular kids appropriate the very art form that helped you deal. Fuck.
None of the funniest stuff ever involved celebrity cameos.
Once again I’m a bonehead for tweeting as a fan of comedy instead of as a guy who earns a living doing it.
